In 2009, the Community Facility Enhancement Program provided funding to restore Dr. Keillor's historic 1919 log cabin for community use. The cabin was hand-built by Dr. Keillor upon his return from WWI, using local wood and river rock. Over the fireplace mantle, he placed a heart-shaped stone.
Since July 2017, the cabin has been home to the WELCA Administration Offices.
In the spring of 2018, the City of Edmonton began a Heritage Facility Assessment Study of the log cabin, the stone house and surrounding stone fence. The study will determine what measures need to be taken to preserve this historic site for the future.
